Another brilliant achievement was scored by Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR’s undergraduate chemistry student in the National Scientific Writing Competition. This competition is a part of the series of events in National Science Week held by the University of Lampung on 22-25 September 2016.In this occasion, Dwi Yulian Fahruddin Shah (Bachelor’s Program of Chemistry) and Mauludin Eka (Faculty of Vocational Studies) became the second winner with their paper titled “Bioceramics with Boiler (Bone Filler) Pores and the Addition of Addictive Substance, Magnesium Oxide on Bone Defect due to Bone Cancer (Osteosarcoma)”.
The competition that was held during the event of National Science Week in the University of Lampung took the theme of “Improving the competitiveness of Indonesia in the international scene through the innovation and creativity of Indonesia’s youths”. This competition was participated by students from many prestigious universities in Indonesia. Various innovative, original, and creative ideas were presented by the participants in order to achieve the winner title. In this competition, the first winner was a team from ITB, wile the second winner was a team from UNAIR and the third winner was a team from Universitas Sebelas Maret.
The achievement that was successfully acquired by Dwi Yulian was added to the long list of his achievements that he has been giving to Faculty of Science and Technology. He expects that the number of achievements he have is able to increase the position of Universitas Airlangga in both national and international scenes. Specifically, he also added that he hopes that all of his achievements can help him reach his dream to receive a Master’s degree scholarship in the University of Birmingham more easily. We hope the best for Dwi Yulian and may there be more students of Faculty of Science and Technology who are motivated to work and build a better reputation of Faculty of Science in the national and international level.
