Unair Chemistry Department is getting faster: Achieving the Top 3 QS Ranking by Subject 2025

Surabaya – Department of Chemistry Universitas Airlangga (Unair) once again made a brilliant achievement by being ranked in the top three in the QS Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This achievement emphasizes Unair’s position as one of the best educational institutions in Indonesia in the field of chemistry.
QS World University Rankings by Subject is one of the prestigious rankings that assesses universities based on academic reputation, reputation among employers, and research impact. Based on QS data on Subject Chemistry, the first rank is occupied by the Department of Chemistry of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and the second is achieved by the Department of Chemistry of Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Both departments are recognized as more senior and experienced. This achievement shows that the quality of education and research at the Unair Department of Chemistry is recognized nationally and globally.
Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, Prof. Mochammad Zakki Fahmi, Ph.D, expressed his gratitude and pride for this achievement. “This achievement is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community, including lecturers, researchers, students, and alumni who continue to contribute in developing and applying science in the field of chemistry.
