The Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga, received an academic visit from students of SMAN 1 Surabaya as part of an initiative to introduce the university learning environment and the discipline of chemistry at the higher education level. This activity constituted an educational effort to provide participants with an initial overview of the academic atmosphere, supporting learning facilities, as well as prospective study pathways and career opportunities in the field of chemistry.
The activity commenced with an opening session and a presentation delivered by Dr. Alfa Akustia Widati, S.Si., M.Si., as the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga. In her presentation, she provided a comprehensive overview of the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga, encompassing the learning system, academic facilities, and the strategic roles of chemistry graduates across various sectors, both academic and industrial. This session served as an essential introduction for participants to gain an understanding of the academic direction and learning characteristics of the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga.
