The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga, organized a Handover Ceremony (Serah Terima Jabatan/Sertijab) for the management of the Chemistry Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Kimia/HMK) from the 2025 term to the 2026 term on March 11, 2026. The event was conducted solemnly and attended by the Head of the Department of Chemistry, the advisor of the Chemistry Student Association, as well as HMK board members and students of the Department of Chemistry.
During the event, the handover of the position of Head of the Chemistry Student Association was carried out from Muhammad Evan Maulana Zaki, as the Head of HMK for the 2025 term, to Zahwa Reghina Enda Sandita, who will lead the organization for the 2026 term.
In addition, the handover of the Chair of the Chemistry Student Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Kimia/DPMK) was also conducted, from Alif Taufiqurrahman ‘Alim Wibawa to Herliana Vera Fenorika as the Chair of DPMK for the 2026 period.
In her remarks, the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Alfa Akustia Widati, S.Si., M.Si., expressed her appreciation to the HMK management for the 2025 period for their dedication and contributions in implementing various organizational programs. She also conveyed her expectations that the new management will continue the existing programs while introducing innovative activities that support both academic and organizational development of students.
The advisor of the Chemistry Student Association, Drs. Tokok Adiarto, M.Si., also delivered a message to the new management to carry out their responsibilities with full accountability, uphold the values of teamwork, and further strengthen the role of student organizations as a platform for leadership and character development.
Through this handover ceremony, it is expected that the new management of the Chemistry Student Association will be able to implement work programs optimally and further enhance student contributions in supporting both academic activities and organizational development within the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga.
