HIMAKI UNAIR Holds Organizational Managerial Training (PMO) to Create Active and Innovative Organizations

The Chemistry Student Association (HIMAKI) UNAIR again held an online Organizational Managerial Training (PMO) on March 19-20, 2022. Attended by 95 new students of the 2021 Chemistry Undergraduate Program, this year’s PMO carries the theme “Realizing the Zillennial Generation as Active and Innovative Organizers towards Superior Human Resources”.

The first day of PMO was filled with material on Environmental Condition Analysis by Ahmad Fauzan (Team Leader of Network Outreach AIESEC in UI) and Teamwork Development by Phelia Hammam Munadhil (UNAIR 2021 LKMM-TL Delegate). The second day was filled with material on Bureaucracy by Syahrul Syawaludin Al Ghifari (Chairman of Himaki 2021) and Public Speaking by Geraldy Rafi (General Manager of Antasena ITS Team).

Before being given the material, PMO participants were given time to work on pre-test questions related to the material. At the end of the event, precisely before closing, participants were given post-test questions related to the material that had been given. In addition to the material, there were also several assignments and case studies given to train participants’ ability to carry out organizational management. In the middle of the event, several games were also played to refresh the minds and raise the enthusiasm of the participants.

“Honestly, the material presented was very interesting and quite helpful. The assignment was also quite helpful in understanding how to make a proposal,” said Ariel, one of the participants in the PMO activity.

In addition to interesting and useful material. This activity was also closed lively with an awarding session. Participants received appreciation in the form of rewards divided into several categories, including the best participants, best groups, and best proposals. Participants also received training certificates which will certainly be very useful in the future.
