Sharing Alumni 2025: Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills for Career Advancement

The Alumni Division of HIMAKI, Universitas Airlangga, is organizing a series of activities under the Alumni Sharing 2025 program as part of its efforts to equip current students, particularly the senior class, with the necessary skills to prepare for the workforce. The activities include seminars, talk shows, and interview training sessions conducted in stages, starting with an online session via Zoom Meeting on Saturday, May 10, 2025, followed by in-person interview training at the University of Airlangga’s Joint Lecture Hall (GKB/Nano) on May 17–18, 2025.

The event kicked off with a seminar themed “Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills for Career Advancement.” The seminar, held on May 10, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:40 AM WIB, featured alumni as the main speakers, discussing the effective and professional preparation of resumes. Following that, participants were allowed to review their CVs directly and receive feedback from the presenters. This interactive session was attended by dozens of active Chemistry students.

The talk show session was conducted in a spirit of open dialogue, providing a space for participants to ask questions and thereby strengthening their understanding of the realities of the post-campus world of work.

These warm and enthusiastic speeches created a positive atmosphere before the training session began.

The training session is divided into two parts: morning and afternoon sessions. Participants who have been registered in advance will undergo a live interview simulation with professional alumni in their respective fields. During the interview session, participants receive real-time performance evaluations and feedback on their strengths and weaknesses from the alumni. This training provides realistic simulations and hands-on experience that are extremely useful in preparing for future job recruitment.

This initiative aligns with SDG goals 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates as a token of appreciation and a joint documentation session. With a spirit of collaboration and mutual benefit, the 2025 Alumni Sharing Program is expected to continue as a space for personal development and intergenerational relationships for the academic community of the Chemistry Department at Airlangga University.
