in the QS Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This achievement emphasizes Unair&#8217;s position as one of the best educational institutions in Indonesia in the field of chemistry.<br><br>QS World University Rankings by Subject is one of the prestigious rankings that assesses universities based on academic reputation, reputation among employers, and research impact. Based on QS data on Subject Chemistry, the first rank is occupied by the Department of Chemistry of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and the second is achieved by the Department of Chemistry of Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Both departments are recognized as more senior and experienced. This achievement shows that the quality of education and research at the Unair Department of Chemistry is recognized nationally and globally.<br><br>Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, Prof. Mochammad Zakki Fahmi, Ph.D, expressed his gratitude and pride for this achievement. \u201cThis achievement is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community, including lecturers, researchers, students, and alumni who continue to contribute in developing and applying science in the field of chemistry. We will continue to be committed in improving the quality of education and research to maintain and even improve this achievement in the future,\u201d said the Professor of Nano Chemistry.<br><br>This achievement also reflects Unair&#8217;s commitment in developing excellent research that has an impact on science and industry, especially in the fields of health and life sciences that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is evident from the research results that Unair Chemistry experts have succeeded in developing vaccines, drug candidates, chemosensors, membranes, polymers, nanotechnology, and the utilization of natural material compounds. Where the results of the research have succeeded in the downstream stage, and will enjoy the benefits for the wider community.<br><br>With a stronger reputation in the national and international arena, the Unair Chemistry Department continues to strive to expand global collaboration and produce graduates who are ready to compete in the world arena. This success is expected to increase the motivation of the Unair academic community to continue to innovate and bring Indonesia&#8217;s good name in the world of global education and research.
